Raster carpet

This design is inspired by classic tile floors from studios and workshops. Floors that weren’t meant to be beautiful, but to function. The pattern is composed of a repeated grid. Regular, predictable, almost technical. This creates a sense of calm. The design is attributed to Jules Martenot, active in the 1970s, with a preference for patterns that organize space without demanding attention.
