Ceramics carpet

Lynda Snel is a ceramist from Rotterdam with a penchant for recognizable forms and tactile textures. Her work takes touch as its starting point.

'A matter of tactility' is the concept within which she explores how form only truly acquires meaning when you can feel it. She draws inspiration from puffed textiles: soft and round in contrast to geometric shapes.

What appears soft turns out to be hard, and looking alone is not enough. Through graphic reliefs and subtle patterns, she gives each piece its own skin: inviting to touch, surprising to discover.

She exhibits her work in the Netherlands at art fairs such as Object Rotterdam, GLUE Utrecht, and Lens&Canvas in The Hague.
